About Orchestre Symphonique De Quebec:
Orchestre Symphonique de Quebec (OSQ) aims to offer musical experiences that cultivate and enrich audiences of all ages.
Founded in 1902, OSQ is Canada’s oldest symphony. OSQ along with its 66 permanent musicians performs pieces by Quebec, Canadian and foreign composers. The Orchestre plays to 400,000 people per year. It contributes to the cultural development of future generations through enriching school programs, including Symphonic Matinees for primary schools and Notes a repetition for secondary schools. In partnership with the Society for Arts in health care settings, OSQ is offering music to users of Centres hospital for long-term care. To support future generations in music, the OSQ regularly collaborates with the Conservatoire de musique de Quebec and Université Laval’s Faculty of Music.
