OVERVIEW

About Future Possibilities for Kids:

Future Possibilities for Kids is a 1-star charity. It is not financially transparent, has poor reporting of its results for donors, and has overhead spending outside Ci's reasonable range.

Founded in 2001, Future Possibilities for Kids (FPK) coaches children in the Greater Toronto Area to believe in themselves and lead community change. The charity reports that it has served over 5,000 children and adults through its community leadership and life skills development programs since 2001.

FPK offers three main programs: Ready, Set, Goal!, Ready, Set, Connect!, and Camp Contribution. The charity does not provide a breakdown of spending on its programs.

Ready, Set, Goal! Is a free leadership program for kids ages 9-12. For six months, participants receive one-on-one support from a trained volunteer, working to contribute to their community through a service project. The program aims to help kids build self-confidence, develop their creative thinking skills, and learn what it means to be a leader. The charity reports that 206 kids participated in Ready, Set, Goal! in 2020.

FPK introduced its Ready, Set, Connect! program in 2020. Ready, Set, Connect! is a two-week summer virtual leadership development program for children ages 9-12 across Ontario. Through the program, participants connect with other kids, build teamwork and problem-solving skills, and enhance their community awareness. FPK reports that over 500 kids participated in the program in 2020.

During the summer, Future Possibilities for Kids runs Camp Contribution. The free camp offers activities like sports, arts and crafts, and team-building exercises. The camp hosts 25 children at a time for a two-week period.
