Founded in 1993, MADA Community Center (MADA) is a Jewish charity fighting poverty in Montreal, Quebec. MADA Community Center provides impoverished people in Montreal with basic necessities while bringing the Jewish community together. All of its services are offered free of charge. MADA runs five main programs: a cafeteria (Meals à Partager), a foodbank (Chez Makolet), Shabbat to Share, social programs, and clothing and furniture distribution.
In F2022, MADA allocated 34% of total program spending to Meals à Partager, which provides sit-down meals and food boxes to elderly and disabled people. Its onsite cafeteria offers three meals a day served restaurant style. Additionally, MADA prepares, packs, and delivers over 400,000 meals annually.
