About Maimonides Educational Foundation:

Founded in 2008, the Maimonides Educational Foundation (MEF) programs advance education by providing scholarships to needy students and operating programs to assist and encourage students in their pursuit of education.

According to MEF’s most recent filings with the Charities Directorate for 2013, MEF spent $2.4m to fund charitable programs in Israel, the US and Chile. MEF is funded by a donation of $3.0m from the Friedberg Charitable Foundation (98% of total donations). MEF also funded the Literacy Education Professional Development program at the Jackman Institute of Child Study at the University of Toronto.  No other information about MEF is publically available at this time.
