About Fondation Québécoise du Cancer:
Founded in 1980, Fondation Québécoise du Cancer (FQC) aims to support people in Quebec living with cancer by focusing on their daily needs and concerns. FQC reports that cancer is the leading cause of death in Quebec, with an estimated 56,800 diagnoses every year. It is estimated that in 2020, 22,400 people in the province will die from cancer. FQC programs include Accommodation, Education and Awareness, Info-Cancer, and Well-being services.
Accommodation is FQC’s major program, making up 54% of program costs in F2020. The program provides affordable housing for those who must travel to receive cancer treatment.
