OVERVIEW
About Power to Change:
Power to Change is a 3-star charity with a below average results reporting grade. It is financially transparent and has reasonable overhead spending. With its current reserve funds, the charity can cover 8 months of annual program costs.
Power to Change (PTC) was founded in 1967 as Campus Crusade for Christ Canada (based on the original UCLA Campus Crusade). It is an evangelical missionary charity seeking to convert people to Christianity. Power to Change wants to reach diplomats, athletes, families, and vulnerable populations to show them the difference Jesus Christ can make in their lives.
Power to Change is a community of believers who, by serving the Church and others, mobilize people to live a life of faith. PTC has 10 ministries and one humanitarian partner which accounted for 85% of total spending in F2022. Each ministry serves a different purpose – connecting with athletes, educating youth, strengthening marriages and families, addressing business and professional pressures, and supporting marginalized communities. Ministries offer a range of activities for participants including gospel presentations, mentorship programs, and spiritual conversations.
Power to Change partners with Global Aid Network (GAIN), a Christian International Relief organization. Together with GAIN, PTC helps women and children in poverty by demonstrating God’s love. As of F2022, GAIN works in 49 countries.
