About Power to Change:

Power to Change (PTC) was founded in 1967 as Campus Crusade for Christ Canada (based on the original UCLA Campus Crusade), to proclaim the Gospel in the power of the Holy Spirit and leave the results to God. It is an evangelical missionary charity seeking to convert people to Christianity. Its goal is to motivate people as they discover Jesus and be inspired to help others to create, innovate and change the world. PTC seeks to help Canadians know that their lives matter and they can make a difference.

Power to Change is a community of believers who, by serving the Church and others, mobilize people to live a life of faith. Through 11 ministries working in different areas of society, PTC has designed unique programs to engage people around the world. Its desire is to address people’s most relevant needs – whether they’re struggling for basic survival, their marriage is falling apart, or they’re dealing with the pressures of a failing business. Power to Change wants to help people discover the difference a relationship with Jesus Christ can make in their lives.

This results in a program cost coverage ratio of 1% indicating a need for funding.

In F2015, Power to Change’s financials were restated by its long-time auditor, KPMG. In the restatement, KPMG discovered $1.5m in cash and $16.7m in total assets. This increased PTC’s cash from $290k to $1.8m, and increased PTC’s total assets from $1.8m to $18.4m.

The charity report is an update that is being reviewed by Power to Change. Changes and edits may be forthcoming.
