About SKETCH:
SKETCH is a 3-star charity. It has a Fair demonstrated impact rating and an average results reporting grade. The charity has low funding reserves and reasonable overhead spending.
Founded in 1996, SKETCH allows homeless and at-risk youth in Toronto to engage in the arts. It provides workshops, leadership & employment opportunities, and showcases the artists’ work. The charity reports that up to 10,000 young people are homeless in Toronto every year, and an estimated 6,000 young people are homeless every night across the country. In F2021, 610 youth aged 16-29 visited SKETCH 4,321 times to participate in the programs. The charity does not provide a full breakdown of its spending.
The Arts Wellness program provides self and community care through the arts, food access, tech support and referrals. The Food program serves healthy, homemade meals at on-site and in-person programs. The Wellness Referral program provides participants with counselling, health services, employment support, shelter and crisis support.
The Arts Production program provides young artists with production residences and mentorships to help them create original new works in multiple artistic mediums, for Exhibition, Showcase, Sales and Public Art Production.
The Arts Leadership program provides career mentorship and training in community-engaged arts and arts education. The NEXTUP! Leaders Lab is a 12-month initiative involving training, mentorship, and skills exchange that prepares racialized arts leaders and managers aged 18-35 for senior-level positions in the arts and culture sector.

Arts Wellness
In F2021, SKETCH provided 584 meals, 318 art kits, and 288 harm reduction kits through its Arts Wellness program. It also made 1,084 referrals for participants.
Arts Production
In F2021, SKETCH hosted 55 showcase events in 192 showcase spots. The events had 223 participants and 1,420 visits.
Arts Leadership
In F2021, SKETCH's Arts Leadership program supported 18 initiatives and delivered 926 workshops, mentorship sessions and events across the GTA and Canada.
