About Servants Anonymous Society of Calgary:

Founded in 1989, Servants Anonymous Society of Calgary (SASC) provides long-term programs, ongoing support and hope to women (with or without children) who are victims of, or at risk of, sexual exploitation or human trafficking. Its programs and services help women reintegrate into society and transition into a healthy lifestyle.

SASC has traditionally used a three-phase exit, exploitation, intervention and transition (EXIT) housing program. However, in February of 2016, SASC decided to close its Phase 1 SAFE House program, which was a rapid exit safe house for women and their children escaping sexual exploitation, due to lack of funding. SASC reports that its residential program had high social impact, offering $8.57 in social value for every dollar invested. In F2015, 93 women accessed the SAFE House.

Servants Anonymous Society of Calgary now uses a two-phase program beginning with the ASK Life-Skills Program. The 6 to 12 month program has 5 front-line houses that stabilize women and teach life skills. Stage 2 offers transitional apartments and independent living to participants exiting the ASK program.

SASC's Cuddle and Care program offers free on-site childcare and family development programs. Its Employment Training program provides job training to help participants develop their strengths, skills, and future job opportunities. Finally, its Follow Care Services and Support program allows its Alumnae to access education, childcare, housing and career networking programs.
