Founded in 1969, World Renew Canada (WRNW) is a Christian international development and disaster relief organization. WRNW works through local churches and Christian partner organizations to deliver food security, disaster relief, health, economic opportunity, and justice programs to communities worldwide.
The charity reports that over 720 million people are undernourished globally, up 161 million since 2019. Natural disasters and conflict leave 363 million in need of humanitarian assistance annually. The richest 1% own nearly half of all global wealth, and 99% of child and maternal deaths occur in developing countries.
World Renew Canada delivers programs in 30 countries through 59 Christian and church partner organizations. In the fiscal year ending June 2025 (F2025), WRNW reached 720,633 participants across 1,449 communities.
World Renew Canada has three programs: Community Development, Disaster Response, and Education and Justice. WRNW spent $22.9m on its programs in F2025.
Community Development is World Renew Canada’s largest program, accounting for 71% of total program spending. WRNW works through local churches and partner organizations to improve food security, agriculture, maternal and child health, and economic opportunity in communities across the world. Included in this program is work supported through WRNW's partnership with Canadian Food Grains Bank. In F2025, WRNW reached 340,982 development participants across 19 countries.
Disaster Response accounted for 20% of total program spending in F2025. WRNW provides emergency food, water, shelter, sanitation, cash assistance, and livelihood rehabilitation to survivors of natural and human-caused disasters. In F2025, WRNW assisted 382,018 participants across 22 countries. Domestically, WRNW volunteers repaired or rebuilt 102 homes and deployed 114 clean-up and debris removal units. WRNW also supported 32 sponsoring groups in submitting 135 new refugee sponsorship applications in Canada.
Education and Justice accounted for 9% of total program spending in F2025. WRNW addresses systemic drivers of poverty through trauma care, gender equity training, anti-trafficking support and civil conflict response. The charity reports that 1,668 gender justice groups have been launched in communities around the world; it is unclear whether this figure reflects F2025 activity or a cumulative total.

World Renew Canada reports that over the last 10 years, 509,000 people increased food security and 191,700 improved their farming practices through its Food Security and Agriculture program. Over the same period, 1,086 communities learned to protect their food source amid climate change.
